Zakynthos Football Club or APS Zakynthos Greek (ΑΠΣ Ζάκυνθος , Αθλητικός Ποδοσφαιρικός Σύλλογος Ζακύνθου) is a Greek football club, based in Zakynthos, Greece.
The association was founded in 1961.
The team had the chance to win promotion to Beta Ethniki in 1971 and in 1973 when they won the local championship where teams from Ileia and the island of Zakynthos where participating and took part to the Promotion Play-Offs against other local unions' champions from southern Greece. At the Play-Offs the team was in a group of 6 teams where only the first would win promotion to the upper division. Zakynthos' team finished both of the times at the groups' 2nd place.
At the middle 70's until early 80's the team was participating to a new amateur championship named "Ethniki Erasitechniki", which was the 3rd highest level of football that time in Greece and it is also the first format of the today's Gamma Ethniki Championship.
From the middle 80's the club relegated to newly-created , Greek 4th National Division and was continuously taking part to that championship until 1992 when the club relegated to local championship.
Nevertheless the club promoted again to Delta Ethini by winning Zakynthos Football Clubs Association's championship in 1993 but they were relegated again in 1994. They rewon the Zakynthos Football Clubs Association's championship in 1995 but they were relegated for third time in a row from the national championship. Zakynthos won the Zakynthos Football Clubs Association's championship again in 1997 and the next year, finally avoided the relegation. Some decent seasons in the division followed with the team having a top-half finish every season in their group.
The first promotion from the Semi-professional Delta Ethniki to Professional level and the division of Gamma Ethniki-the 3rd Division of Greece- came in 2006 with the team finishing first in the division's 6th group. The team's roster was proved to be weak for the division's standards so they relegated in the same season.
In 2008, they won easily their groups' championship and re-promoted to Gamma Ethniki where they're still competing.
On 31st of August 2011 the club agreed with, and has as a main sponsor, the photovoltaic systems company, DTS.
After that agreement the team's name changed to DTS APS Zakynthos and, in brief, to DTS Zakynthos, for the upcoming season.
